“I used to be a twice-a-day workout girl—gym, runs, you name it. Then I fell in love, married my best friend, and swapped burpees for cuddles, morning alarms for sleep-ins, and gym sessions for small-town life. Two years later, an old photo reminded me just how much had changed. So I set myself a challenge: could I reclaim my old body and reverse the changes—not in two years, but in just eight weeks?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Aim for consistency, not perfection. Your fitness journey shouldn’t feel like punishment or a prison sentence—it should be something you enjoy. Celebrate the small wins, be kind to yourself, and stay honest about your progress without tearing yourself down. Oh and that I eat waaayyyyyyy too little protein.
I feel proud of my endurance—and honestly, I’ve realized I’m a lot more headstrong than I gave myself credit for. The workouts are still tough, but it’s gotten so much easier to motivate myself to get up and go do them. I feel fit. And that feels really good.
What I loved most was having all the workouts laid out for me and not having to think about what to eat—I knew exactly what to do each day. No planning, no guessing. I could just get up and go. It made showing up so much easier.”
