“I was tired of not loving myself, to not want to take photos with my 2 boys and family. I didn’t ever look at myself in the mirror as I couldn’t stand what I saw. I tried on my own to lose weight but it’s really hard if you are alone with no support. I have a medical history too where I am on medication that makes me put on weight and to hear from your doctors that it would be really hard to lose weight was also not helping.
I felt depressed and I started to just stay at home over weekends, I didn’t want people to see me like this. I started following Lei on Instagram and saw pictures from real women that worked so hard and absolutely smashed it during their Challenges. I said to myself if they can do it so can I. No more excuses no more hiding away, even if I lose little by little it would be better than nothing. I decided in December I am going to join in January and that 2022 is going to be my year. I am going to take control of health and put me first for a change. I was really so excited to begin but also scared that I would maybe not lose a lot and that I would feel disappointed at the end of the challenge and then maybe get demotivated… but man was I wrong.
What I was able to do in these 8 weeks of the help from the lovely Lei was mind blowing. I made it, I am so so proud of myself. I feel absolutely amazing, I feel happy again and I can’t wait to go out again for a weekend. I have a long way to go still but I am so ready and so amped for the next challenge and the one thereafter.
I love the workouts, they challenge me physically. I was one of those people that never actually ate alot during the day, skipping breakfast and lunch and lived on coffee and ate dinner. Eating 5 meals a day was a big challenge but I was so addicted to the food. I was absolutely in love with everything. I feel so much happier and I have more energy. My mental health has changed so much. I don’t feel ashamed of how I look anymore.
My favourite thing about LFF is definitely the food and more food, as well as the lovely support we got from Lei and all the other ladies!”
